Emergency Preparedness at Schools

The ability of our nation's schools to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recovery from emergencies is of paramount importance. Schools face a full range of hazards including natural disasters, acts of violence, infectious disease, and food contamination. EMT contributed to the safety of schools by serving as the prime contractor for a technical assistance center sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. This five-year project enabled EMT to become a leading expert and resource in the field of school emergency management.
