EMT ASSOCIATES INC.

Recognized for Contributions to the Prevention Field…
In addition to our success in providing useful products to our clients, EMT has made important contributions to evaluation practice and evidence-based knowledge in prevention and related social and health practice. Our Individual Protective Factors Index (IPFI) has been a widely used measure of adolescent resiliency for evaluation and performance monitoring applications for more than a decade. Our work on identifying core, evidence-based principles of effective adolescent development programs was recently featured by the British journal Alcohol & Drug Findings and identified as “a major advance on the previously patchy research on intervening with high risk youngsters.” EMT’s path breaking data collection and analysis designs for multi-site evaluations have been widely published and cited. Similarly, our evidence-based lessons on community-based prevention work and coalitions have been incorporated into CDC training programs on community-based prevention initiatives concerning tobacco use.
